We all know making a good first impression is really important, especially in the professional world. But making a first impression should be more than good! To quote Sonya Parker, “ Almost everyone will make a good first impression, but only a few will make a good lasting impression.” So how do you conquer the challenge of being one of the few to make a good lasting impression? That’s where headshot photos come. The #1 reason a good headshot is so important is that it will make a good lasting impression!
Not having a really good image that best represents you may give of a lack of professionalism, or may make you overall, forgettable. Don’t let those things hold you back from favorably standing out, and staying with those you’re
We’ve entered the winter season and during this time of year, brides get the unique opportunity to incorporate fun seasonal touches into their winter wedding! In honor of this extra special time, we’ve listed four of our favorite things we love about winter weddings :-)
We really loved blogging about Carrie and Garrett’s wonderful Athens wedding (check it out again here!), still, before the “I do” is “Will you marry me?” We had the pleasure of photographing this couples will-you-marry-me moment and love getting to blog about their spectacular pics! Not only are their images super romantic, but if you’ve been wondering where to propose in Charleston, you’ll now have an idea of one of Charleston’s perfect spots to pop the question.
Valerie and Co. Photographers love a good love story and we’re happy to share that of Sergio and Brittany’s! We just couldn’t have been happier to be the Charleston Wedding Photographer for this super cute couple.
Their story starts in high school and Brittany tells the it like this, “We met at Brewbaker Junior High School in Montgomery, AL in 2001 at age 15. I was a cheerleader and Sergio played sports. It was Sergio who initiated our actual contact by asking if he could see my sunglasses.
Valerie and Co Photographers love being a Charleston wedding photographer because of the the abundance of southern charm to be found. Andrea and Jarrett are a charming couple that our studio loves so much, we couldn’t help but reminisce now with their 1st anniversary fast approaching! Andrea and Jarrett believe in the old adage “third time’s the charm” and they’re “southern charm” love story is the reason why! The two met at five years old when Andrea developed a crush on Jarrett in their kindergarten days, however little Jarrett just did not feel the same way.
I absolutely adore being a Charleston wedding photographer because we are lucky to live in one of the most beautiful and popular cities for weddings in this country. I also love to travel and jump on the opportunity to do so as often as I can. Destination weddings are a favorite of mine because I get to combine two of my passions, travel and photography! I have photographed many destination weddings within the US and internationally as well. I have had the honor of photographing weddings in Berlin, Hawaii, St. Lucia, South Africa, and now Cancun, to name a few!
It’s so fun to see the different approaches to a marriage proposal. Modest and heartfelt, silly and sweet, private and romantic, over-the-top and grand; these are a few ways you could execute your proposal. No matter what though, it is always special for each couple! There’s no comparison to this thrilling once-in-a-lifetime moment! That is why when you’ve decided to pop THE big question, proposal photography should be included in your plans. The two of you will LOVE having those priceless images of such a special day and be admired for generations to come.
