According to the renowned Travel + Leisure Magazine, the best place in THE WORLD to travel to, is Charleston, South Carolina! Every year, in the middle of the summer, the periodical publication releases it's list for the World's Best Cities. The magazine claims that "from ancient capitals to modern metropolises, these are the cities you'll want to add to your bucket list." For the first time ever, an american city claimed the #1 spot on the list, and that city is Charleston. :-) That being said, it's no wonder why Brandon chose to propose to his love, Amanda, while visiting the Holy City for vacation! This wonderful couple can now boldly claim that they got engaged in the BEST CITY IN THE WORLD! Read more below about these two and check out their beautiful Charleston surprise proposal photos. :-)
The idea of going back to the place where everything began is a romantic and charming notion. When Allie went to that old house Noah bought and restored just for her, (shoutout to The Notebook!) the two of them reunited and rekindled their love in the place where their romance started. Newly engaged Rod and Amy also have a romantic and charming love story with a wedding proposal that brought them back to the city where their love began all captured in perfect Charleston proposal pictures!
We live in an amazing day and age where nearly everyone we know carries a small computer in their pocket, that also, happens to make phone calls, lol. One of the many awesome things our cell phones can do, is let you contact another person, face to face! After Steve romantically got down on one knee and proposed to Jennifer, the 1st thing Jennifer did (besides say “yes”!) is contact her mom. :-) Thanks to modern technology, she was able to immediatley share the big news of her engagement with her mom through facetime. It was so incredibly sweet to see Jennifer, her mother, and Steve share in all the joy and excitement together, in person! It was also an honor for us to capture their sweet proposal and what was a very special moment. :-) They are such a wonderful couple and we really enjoyed getting to know a bit about them. We invite you to look through their beautiful springtime Magnolia Plantation proposal pictures and read on to learn more about these newly engaged lovebirds! And for even more springtime surprise proposal loveliness, check this out. ;-)
It was such an exciting thrill to have recently photographed David’s surprise marriage proposal to Erika at Charleston’s Waterfront Park Pineapple Fountain! The two are so in love and such a perfect couple, which made it even easier for Valerie & Co. Photographers to capture romantically sweet images of the pair’s special moment. :-) The proposal location David setteled on is one we love and is a top spot to visit for tourist and locals alike. David had originally thought he’d pop the big question over dinner at the delicious restaurant, 82 Queen. However, after a few change of plans with Erika’s schedule, David rearrange the surprise proposal, and he and Erika took a little downtown evening stroll after work to the Pineapple Fountain. That was the spot where we waited to snap the sneaky pictures of this perfect proposal!

Lindsay and Sam's story is just as sweet as the love, joy, and happiness you can see all over Lindsay's face in these pictures. :-) AND THE RING… there just aren’t words to describe how beautiful and precious it is! Read all about Sam and Lindsay, their love story, and the answers they gave to a few of our questions.
Where are you both from?
We are both from South Florida- specifically, Sam is from Cooper City and I am from South Miami.
Where did you two meet?
We were introduced by a mutual friend- my sorority sister at Boston University and Sam's good friend from high school- her name is Ashley. She used to have the biggest crush on Sam and when he showed interest in me, she figured she'd assist in matchmaking!
How long were you dating before engagement?
We went on our first date December 26th 2013; we say April 4th 2014 is our anniversary (not exactly sure why but it was a turning point in our relationship and felt right to say that was the date- it was also when Sam said i love you for the first time. Anywho- a little shy of 3 years if we go by anniversary. =)
What is your proposal story?
It was my 26th birthday so Sam had told me we were going on a horse and buggy ride around Charleston to enjoy some of the historic sites. It was our first time visiting so we had a lot to pack in for the weekend.
We boarded our carriage ride, took some photos with the horse, and were off on our tour. Taking in all the sites, the driver stopped about 20-minutes into our ride in front of a pretty fountain by the water. Sam held my hand, told me that it was our stop, and we started walking down a beautiful pathway lined with trees. There was an electric energy in the way Sam held my hand, I knew something was going on but couldn't put my finger on what. Sam began to talk about our first months of dating and when he knew I was the one and I was on cloud 9 with emotions. Next thing I knew, Sam was getting down on one knee and asking me to marry him. The answer was pretty obvious! I mean especially after the most magical proposal! =)
What kind of engagement ring do you have and is there a story to go with it?
I have a round engagement ring with a pave diamond band. The stone is actually from Sam's mother- it was her mother's ring
It's absolutely gorgeous and I love wearing it...AND cleaning it!
When is your wedding?
Our wedding will be late winter/early spring of 2018 in Miami, FL
It was an honor and a delight for Valerie & Co. Photographers to capture Lindsay and Sam’s wonderful Charleston Waterfront Park Proposal. Congratulations to the happy couple!
