Weddings are the celebration of a couple joining together, and this Charleston Wedding Photographer knows having all of your family and friends with you is what turns any event into a real celebration! When Melissa and Beau think of their wedding, they cherish the fact that all of their loved ones could join them for their big day! However, it wasn’t just family, friends, and the Bride and Groom coming together, but, this also marked two families being brought together to make one happy family for Melissa, Beau, AND their sons! Their two boys are both very charming and each looked dapper in their suits the day of the wedding. Everything was just excellent, making it a pleasant day for all!
Finding and falling for “The One” is not so simple. You want to feel joy with “The One.” You want “The One” to make you feel beautiful. You want all your friends and family to love “The One” just as much as you do. But ultimately “The One” makes YOU happy and when you’ve found it, you’ll know. I’m talking about your wedding dress of course! Brides, Andrea, Holly, and Melissa, all found “The One” wedding dress for them at Charleston bridal shop, Gown Boutique of Charleston, and we LOVE each lady’s gorgeous wedding gown photos.
It’s been so tough keeping these a secret all these months! By far our favorite time to do bridal portrait sessions here in Charleston is while the azaleas are in bloom. This is usually the last couple weeks of March and/or the first couple weeks in April. (Weather might change this a little year to year.)
It was an absolutely gorgeous day and we couldn’t have asked for a more gorgeous bride! Beautiful girl, inside and out…gorgeous dress, long veil and my personal favorite place, Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. (Can we just do all our shoots here in the spring time? Please and thank you!)
It’s been such a pleasure for this Charleston Wedding Photographer to see Carrie & Garrett’s love story unfold in front of the camera lens. From Garrett’s grand and passionate rainy proposal, to the last image shot on their wedding day!
The couple met their senior year in high school just a few months before graduation. They were paired up on a awkward teenage blind date of cosmic putt-putt with friends of theirs as a double date! Fast forward 6 years to December 22nd, 2015 and the two high school kids, now grown, were a committed couple and Garrett was ready to pop the big question :)
When Valerie and Co. Photographers thinks of Charleston, South Carolina, we think of home. We LOVE our home and it’s one of the reasons why I love being a Charleston Wedding Photographer :) It comes as no surprise to us, that many, including Bride and Groom, Adam and Elizabeth, are drawn to the place we have the pleasure of calling home. For them they found a spot loved by locals and visitors alike and had a Shem Creek Wedding at Cottage on the Creek!
