During Garrett’s Christmas break from his rotations of his last year of pharmacy school, he and Carrie took a trip to Charleston, South Carolina. Carrie says, “Garrett was insisting that we go to the Waterfront Park, and for some reason I didn’t put up too much of a fight to walk there in the rain. The rain made the proposal so romantic, and made sure that we had the whole park pretty much to ourselves!”
With the ring on her finger, the couple set their wedding date for April 16th, 2016 in Athens Georgia at one of our new favorite southern event venues, the historic Taylor Grady House. It was the perfect location for their royal blue, gold, and white wedding. From the tall porch columns, to the gorgeous garden grounds, it was so beautiful and added a little more magic to their enchanting day.
That perfect spring afternoon led to an electric evening celebration and the happy couple agree. When asked what was one of the things they loved most about their wedding, Bride Carrie said, “We loved the celebration after the wedding. The band and the foam flashers kept the celebration going strong all night (and an open bar didn’t hurt)!”
“We also loved our bridal party and groomsmen. Both my maid-of-honor and Garrett’s best man have been out best friends for 14 years, so it was special to be able to share such an amazing day with someone that you’re so close to.”
The night came to a close with foam flashers guiding the way to the couples classic get away car and then they were off to Zoetry Agua Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic for a tropical honeymoon!
