Physical Therapist, Amanda, and Electrical Engineer, Will, first met in Columbia, SC. Amanda moved there from Pennsylvania for her first job out of school. At that time, Will’s job, originally in Charleston, had him transferred to Columbia. Amanda said, “We happened to be in the same city at the right time! Our first date was at Starbucks followed by supper club with friends and we hit it off immediately!” The two of them now call Charleston, SC home and even got engaged in Charleston at Magnolia Plantation & Gardens.
After their surprise proposal, we were so excited to find out Will and Amanda wanted our studio for their wedding one day too! As Amanda so nicely put it, “Val & Ed are such a pleasure to work with. After our proposal photo shoot and seeing how those pictures turned out, there was no question who we wanted to capture our wedding day. We can’t say thank you enough, we LOVE our photos!”
We also very much love their photos! For the newleywed’s, some of their top wedding day moments that we photographed, and ours too, is how much fun everyone had on the dance floor! Amanda said, “One of our favorite things about our wedding was the dancing and celebrating with our family and friends! Our DJ, Jon Feist’s Medolic Entertainment, did such a great job getting everyone on the dance floor. We even got one of our bartenders on the dance floor. We had a blast!”
Mixed in with all the celebratory dancing was a traditional Polish dance! Amanda explained, “We have a lot of Polish background in my family. A tradition that I continued at our wedding was the ‘bridal/dollar dance’. The head piece, Babushka, I wore and the apron my sister wore, were made by my Grandmother. They have been passed down in my family. My Grandmother was unable to attend our wedding so I really wanted to keep the tradition and honor her!”
It was such a fun and beautiful day, start to finish! It started with some girl time, champagne, and getting ready at The Francis Marion Hotel with perfect hair and makeup by REFeyeANCE’s Sarah Pearson. The beautiful Bride, Amanda, wore a Sophia Tolli gown from Mount Pleasant Bridal and sparkling Badley Mischka shoes. Her Bridesmaids wore flowing light Capri blue Bill Levkoff dresses from Jean's Bridal and all of the men, especially the Groom, Will, were exeptilonally handsome in their Vera Wang suits from Mens Wearhouse.
The sweet ceremony took place at the historic Bethel United Methodist Church in downtown Charleston. From there, it was time to once again head to The Francis Marion Hotel for the fun reception with dining, dancing, and celebration of Will and Amanda all thanks to Wedding Sales Manager, Savannah Boehmer, and the wonderful staff of the hotel!
Congrats to Mr & Mrs Edwards! We look forward to capturing even more of their adventrues togther!
