MUSC Medical Records Quality Coordinator, Cassie, and BP Chemical Plant Operator, Dan, found each other through a dating app. They said they had a magical first date Downtown Charleston at the Battery in the rain. The weather might’ve ruined a first date for some but for Cassie & Dan it was romantic! When it came to their wedding, Dan & Cassie were sure to also include what’s personal & romantic to them into their day. Cassie said, “We tried to incorporate as much of us in our wedding day & decorations as we could, even if our guests didn't know what they meant. Like our centerpieces - we had a pickle jar with a single rose. The reason was when my husband first brought me home a rose we didn't have any vases but we had an empty pickle jar. Every few weeks Dan brings me home a rose and it goes in that same pickle jar on our kitchen windowsill. We couldn't think of a better centerpiece than of something so meaningful to us and our love.”
Funny, cute, perfectly imperfect moments are the ones that Cassie and Dan enjoy and laugh about. The bride had a moment like that at the altar and went on to say, “My veil practically getting ripped out of my hair by the wind is one of my favorite moments! Although it's not the traditional ‘perfect’ wedding, the crazy things that happen are going to happen and you just need to roll with it.”
One thing that was FOR SURE absolutely perfect was Cassie’s gorgeous wedding gown! Her Justin Alexander dress from The White Closet Bridal in Tampa, FL was so pretty. The dress originally had a nude underlay but Cassie decided to order it in ivory and clearly the Bride was breathtaking! The Bridesmaids were lovely in their light sage green flowing David's Bridal dresses and of course Dan and the Groomsmen were dashing in their tuxedos from Men's Wearhouse.
Everything from the silly moments to the quiet stolen ones, was wonderful for Dan & Cassie’s Cooper River Room wedding at Mt Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park! Guests enjoyed their Duvall Events catered meal and danced to the music provided by Rob Duren Productions until it was time for the fun fiber optic light wand exit. The Valerie & Co. Photographers team is grateful to have been included in the newlywed’s special event. Cheers to the couple and their future together!
