It’s an honor and a joy to capture in pictures the love between the couples we meet. With Amanda and Will, we got to follow & photograph their journey from "Popping The Big Question" to saying "I Do"! We shared here on our blog when Will and Amanda got “Engaged in the Garden” with a sweet springtime surprise proposal. Today we’re excited to also share their beautifully timeless Charleston wedding! Read on to learn about the couple and their wedding, how Valerie & Ed became their go to photography team, and see some favorite photos!
Weddings are so much fun and a lot of action! In the midst of all that action, it’s great for the couple to take a minute just for themselves. For newlyweds Cassie & Dan, they really get each other, they are each other’s brand of weird, and it was really important to them on their wedding day that they made time to be alone together. Bride Cassie said one of their favorite things about their day was, “The little moments I stole away with Dan. We snuck outside a few times, despite the cold weather, to just be us.” Read on to learn more about this quirky couple, their big day, checkout a few favorite wedding photos, and see some of their captured quiet moments!
The Valerie & Co. Photographers crew gets invited to do event photography for all sorts of occasions including restaurant reviews! I’On Life Magazine was hosted by new Mt Pleasant restaurant, The Grit Counter, to dine and I’On Life’s Area Director, Karen Clements, wrote a review of the fresh fare. Read on to learn more about The Grit Counter and see a few photos from the excellent event!
You can’t know for sure where love will strike but for about 10-15% of us, we meet our future spouse through the workplace. It’s how it happened for the photographers on the Valerie & Co. team (read Val & Ed’s meet-cute here, lol)! The same is true for our bride Rhonda, currently a HR Generalist, and her now hubby, Byron, who is a Furnace Technician. The two of them actually met at their previous place of employment and as Rhonda puts it, “He shared a snickers ice-cream bar with me as his way of saying ‘hi’ and the rest is history!”
The pair have now grown their family by one with sweet baby Landon Elijah and they plan on continuing to grow, love, & support one another. The couple told us they also have a list of short & long term goals that they’re working on like plans to travel and enjoy the married life and everything that comes with it! But before all their planning and baby Elijah, was their beautiful waterfront wedding in Mt Pleasant, SC. :-) Read on to see a few of their stunning wedding photos and to learn more about BJ & Rhonda!
The most commonly given advice to future brides is that you should relax and enjoy your day. :-) That’s the exact advice newlyweds Shirlei & Jamie wanted to give to others with the bride saying, “You should enjoy every second because it really does fly by so fast, you barely remember the day. It’s cliche, but so true!”
But what a wonderful whirlwind of a day they had. It was so beautiful & fun, from the personal touches & the charming details, to all the special moments. :-) The entire event was absolutely wonderful and you can read on to learn more about Shirlei & Jamie, how they relaxed and enjoyed their Big Day, and see a few of our favorite photos from their Charleston Wedding!
For some, school pride runs very deep and in South Carolina, we love our universities, their teams, and the rivalry between USC and Clemson. Take a visit to this southern state, and it won’t take any time at all before you see just about everyone showing off gamecock colors of garnet & black, or tiger pride in orange and purple. For Bride & Groom, Sara & Dean, the theme for their wedding came from their love of her alma mater, and their favorite collegiate football team, Clemson University! Sara graduated from Clemson and went on to become an RN and her Groom, Dean, is a Farmer and owner of Hutto Brothers Partnership. The college and Dean's occupation gave inspiration for their wedding. From the breezy tea length bridesmaids gowns, to the beautiful flower bouquets, Clemson inspired accent colors were delightfully displayed and their reception exit is a farm boys dream come true. ;-) Checkout a few of their country farm & Clemson inspired wedding photos and read on to learn more about this couples big day!
