Banks is an 8-year-old Savannah cat, which is a cross between a serval and a domestic cat. He was adopted by Mrs. Austin as a Father’s Day gift for her husband from the Belle Hall PetSmart Adoption Center through a really special program. The Feline Freedom Coalition and Pet Helpers are Charleston animal rescue facilities and with this program kittens and tame stray cats are taken into their facility or foster care to be medicated, socialized, and adopted through three local Charleston Petsmart Adoption Centers.
Banks is extremely social and enjoys golf cart rides and walking around his friendly neighborhood checking in on everyone. In fact he’s so welcomed amongst the neighbors that they now open their doors and invite him in! Because of his amiable and curious personality Banks has had many adventures in his short life like a few car rides and even on a boat once because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time! But somehow he managed to get back home. Thank goodness for my microchip!
He may enjoy getting fresh air in the neighborhood and being out-and-about but he loves being with the Austin family the most! From walks with Mrs. Austin, to belly rubs & breakfast with Mr. Austin, to cuddle time in the lap with their kids or grandkids. Mr. Banks loves his life with the Austin family and they love their sweet curious cat!
