"I convinced Liz that there was a wine tasting at Boone Hall at 11:00AM on Friday, June 9th in order to make sure that we arrived in a timely fashion. Liz is a kindergarten teacher with Charleston County and I am a medical student at Charleston's Medical University of South Carolina, which is why we did not have to be at work on a Friday in June. We woke up and I picked us up egg sandwiches at Mozzo Deli while she got ready for Boone Hall. Liz, oblivious to the fact that she was an hour away from the proposal, took her time while I scrambled to make sure that everything was planned appropriately. The ring was custom designed as a cooperative effort between Diamonds Direct in Mount Pleasant, SC and SES Creations in New York, NY. The diamonds are a family heirloom and the setting was custom designed by myself and Stanley at Diamonds Direct. We finally headed to Boone Hall and parked in the visitors lot. We then walked over to the Avenue of Oaks, where I eventually popped the question and Liz said, 'Yes!'
Our photographer, Valerie, was using a decoy couple to photograph the proposal and made sure to capture the moments leading up to it. We then finished our time at Boone Hall with a photoshoot with Valerie. We then went to SNOB for lunch and celebrated with friends that night! It is a little early to give exact wedding details; however, we are thinking marrying June, 2019 in Charleston. There will be more details to come in the near future!"
We just love this wonderful couple's wonderful love story of two American students meeting in Australia, falling in love, fun proposal plans, the joyful "yes!"and then their happy engagement celebration. We wish them all the best on their journey together and we hope to be there for them in the future to capture more of their story in photographs!
