Usually in January, the lowcountry’s winter season is a little cold and drab, but unlike this darn March 2017 nor'easter cold snap, the Charleston winter weather has been extremely enjoyable! Such was the case the day of David and Erika's proposal. A beautiful blue sky shined through soft white clouds. The nicely dressed couple appeared happy and ready for a “date night,” as the early evening sun lent idyllic lighting for the camera to click away. To keep Erika from figuring out David’s plan, the couple was secretly photographed just over the shoulder of two very kind tourist acting as decoys having their pictures taken at the park. The couple walked along the waterfront, and after stealing a few kisses, David tenderly spoke with Erika, avowing his love. It was then, right in front of the fountain, that he got on one knee, and asked Erika to be his Bride! He presented her with a brilliant and beautiful diamond ring that fit nicely on her finger. :-) She was elated and breathless, but managed a heartfelt, "Yes!"
With Erika's hands placed gently on either side of David's cheeks, she leaned down and kissed her husband to be. :-) The excited couple hugged, smiled, and, of course, kissed over and over! What started out being a fun date night for Erika and David, turned out to actually be the magical night of their engagement, and happily ended with a celebratory dinner date at 82 Queen. We wish this lovely couple every happiness and a blessed life together. :-)
